Rental Studio Info
Studio Polhem is exclusively intended for professional photographers. We do not rent out the studio for other types of events.
All renters are expected to be able to operate our equipment safely and in a manner that prevents damage. Should any equipment nevertheless be damaged, you will be liable for the cost of restoring it to its original condition.
Terms
At Studio Polhem, we understand that customers and circumstances can change quickly. This is why we have chosen to take a flexible approach to bookings and to work towards finding practical solutions that make things easier for everyone involved.
Rental times are agreed upon for each individual booking. Cancellations must be made by email at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the booking will be charged at the full rental rate.
We expect the studio to be left in the same condition as it was when you arrived. In the event of any damage to the premises or its contents, you will be liable for the associated costs.
Studio Polhem is not responsible for any damage to your own materials or equipment used in the studio. You are responsible for ensuring that you have adequate insurance coverage.
Studio Polhem accepts no other liability for any damage and/or defects.
We rent the studio to registered businesses with a valid Swedish F-tax certificate (F-skatt). A standard credit check will be carried out. Payment is made by invoice with 20 days net payment terms.

How much does it cost to rent Studio Polhem?
The price depends on the duration of the rental and the type of production. We offer half-day and full-day rentals, with the option to extend the time. Contact us with the dates, times, and details of your shoot, and we will get back to you with a price and plan.
What is included in the rental?
You have access to the studio’s permanent equipment and facilities during your booked time. Studio Polhem is equipped for portrait, corporate, fashion, and product photography. A complete equipment list is available on the homepage.
Where is Studio Polhem located?
Studio Polhem is located at Polhemsgatan 21 in the Kungsholmen district of Stockholm. The studio is centrally located and easily accessible by both car and public transport.
Is there parking nearby?
Yes. There are parking options in the area surrounding the studio, including street parking and the Polhemsgaraget parking garage in the building across the street. For larger productions, we can also assist with logistics regarding loading and unloading.
How big is the studio?
The studio is 180 square meters. The maximum shooting distance is 15 meters. Not sure if the studio is right for your specific shoot? Get in touch, and we can discuss your needs.
Can I shoot products at Studio Polhem?
Yes. The studio can be used for product photography and packshots, whether for individual products or larger-scale image productions. For larger product jobs, we can also discuss a setup that coordinates the photography and post-production work.
Can I shoot people and portraits?
Absolutely. Studio Polhem is used for corporate and press portraits, staff photos, casting sessions, fashion shoots, and editorial photography, among other things.
Is the studio suited for video production?
Yes, the studio is primarily designed for still photography, but it is certainly possible to carry out simpler video productions. If you are planning a larger video production, we recommend letting us know the details when booking so we can ensure the studio is suitable for the project.
Can I bring my own photographer?
Of course. Studio Polhem is available for rent by photographers, companies, advertising agencies, and other producers who need a professional photo studio in Stockholm.
Can I bring my own equipment?
Yes. You are welcome to bring your own camera, flashes, light modifiers, and other gear. If you are missing something specific, feel free to ask us before booking, and we will see if we can find a solution.
Is Studio Polhem easily accessible when bringing a lot of equipment?
Yes. The entrance from the street makes transporting large amounts of equipment much easier compared to a studio that requires using stairs or an elevator. It is particularly well-suited for photographers, product shoots, corporate productions, and larger teams.
Are there facilities for hair and makeup, and changing clothes?
Yes, the studio has a makeup station with two seats, as well as space for changing and getting ready for the shoot.
Can I play music in the studio?
Of course, you are welcome to play music. We have a sound system that you can connect to via AirPlay.
Can I bring a dog to the studio?
Dogs are certainly welcome. We who run Studio Polhem have dogs of our own, but when they are at work, they stay with us in the office space.
Can the studio be booked for evenings and weekends?
That can certainly be arranged depending on the date and the production, subject to an additional fee. Get in touch with your preferred date and times, and we’ll look into the possibilities.
How do I book Studio Polhem?

Can I come and view the studio before booking?
Yes, we can arrange a viewing if schedules allow. It is often the easiest way to determine if the studio is the right fit for your specific production.

Can Studio Polhem be used for larger productions?
Yes. Please contact us well in advance if you are planning a larger production involving multiple photographers, models, stylists, clients, or other personnel. This allows us to plan the studio setup and logistics according to the production's needs.
Can Studio Polhem be used for events?
Studio Polhem is primarily a studio for photography and production. We do not rent out the space for private parties or general public events. For corporate activities related to photography, film production, product launches, or client viewings, you are welcome to contact us to discuss your plans.
